Good news, OMAHS is building again! Unfortunately it won't be ready for occupancy until 2025 however we are taking applications now from families, seniors and persons with a disability capable of living independently without onsite supports. Singles with incomes below the applicable income limit may be included, however priority will be given to seniors, families or persons with a disability.
THE PURPOSES OF THE SOCIETY
To provide safe and affordable housing for all households (native and non-native people) of low and moderate income in Kelowna and in the Central Okanagan region, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing;
i) acquiring land and existing housing;
ii) construction, rebuilding and restoring housing;
iii) managing, repairing, and maintaining property and housing;
iv) renting, leasing, selling, and mortgaging property and housing; and
v) assisting natives and non-natives in obtaining and acquiring safe and affordable housing;
To receive grants, gifts, bequests, fund and other property, both real and personal to hold, invest, administer, use, apply, and distribute, such property for the purposes of the Society; and
To do all such other things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the foregoing purposes and the exercise of the powers of the Society.
Please explain your issue. If leaking, where is it leaking and is it dripping or pouring? Can you turn off the water if leaking from toilet or sink? No power - check breakers by turning off fully and back on fully. Furnace not working - check red switch in basement. Thermostat not working - needs batteries?
