Welcome to Okanagan Metis & Aboriginal Housing Society

 THE PURPOSES OF THE SOCIETY

To provide safe and affordable housing for all households (native and non-native people) of low and moderate income in Kelowna and in the Central Okanagan region, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing;

          i) acquiring land and existing housing;

          ii) construction, rebuilding and restoring housing;

          iii) managing, repairing, and maintaining property and housing;

          iv) renting, leasing, selling, and mortgaging property and housing; and

          v) assisting natives and non-natives in obtaining and acquiring safe and affordable housing;

To receive grants, gifts, bequests, fund and other property, both real and personal to hold, invest, administer, use, apply, and distribute, such property for the purposes of the Society; and

To do all such other things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the foregoing purposes and the exercise of the powers of the Society.
